  1. Advertise an ordinance to amend, reenact, and codify Chapter 11 of the Arlington County Code as it relates to Business Licenses to provide for reductions in first year BPOL obligations.

    C.M. Recommendation: Advertise the proposed ordinance language for adoption at the January 29, 2000 County Board meeting.

  2. Advertise an ordinance to enact and codify Chapter 66 of the Arlington County Code to provide for specific tax incentives within designated technology zones and to amend Chapter 11 of the Arlington County Code to establish a BPOL tax rate for a "Qualified Technology Business" as defined in Chapter 66.

    C.M. Recommendation: Advertise a Public Hearing on the following ordinance changes to be held during the January 29, 2000 County Board meeting, creating a new Chapter 66 of Arlington County Code relating to tax benefits and amending Chapter 11 of the Arlington County Code, creating a new Section 11-86.

  3. Advertise an ordinance to enact and codify Chapter 20 (Real Estate Assessment), Article II, Sections 20 – 20 through 20 – 31 of the Code of Arlington County, Virginia, concerning partial real estate tax exemption for substantially rehabilitated, renovated or replaced commercial and mixed-use structures.

    C.M. Recommendation: Advertise the proposed ordinance to enact and codify Chapter 20, Article II, Sections 20-20 through 20-31 of the Code of Arlington County, Virginia.

  4. Advertise an ordinance to enact and codify Chapter 20 (Real Estate Assessment), Article III, Sections 20 - 40 through 20 – 51 of the Code of Arlington County, Virginia, concerning partial real estate tax exemption for substantially rehabilitated, commercial office buildings incorporating certain technology improvements.

    C.M. Recommendation: Advertise the proposed ordinance to enact and codify Chapter 20. Article III, Sections 20-40 through 20-51 of the Code of Arlington County, Virginia.

  5. Advertise an ordinance to amend, reenact, and codify Chapter 11 of the Arlington County Code as it relates to Business Licenses to create two new categories of business, Internet service providers and Online service providers.

    C.M. Recommendation: Authorize advertising a consideration of the location, character, and extent of the proposed County Office facilities for public hearings at the County Board meeting of January 29, 2000 and its associated Planning Commission meeting.

  2. A General Land Use Plan Amendment from "Service Industry" to "Public". Schools, Parkways, major unpaved rights-of-way for premises known as 3700 South Four Mile Run Drive and 3660 27 th Street South.

C.M. Recommendation: Authorize the amendment to the General Land Use Plan for public hearings at the County Board meeting of January 29, 2000 and its associated Planning Commission meeting.

C.M. Recommendation: Authorize advertisement of a site plan approval for a January 29, 2000 public hearing by the County Board, subject to the need for such hearing continuing based on court proceedings.

    C.M. Recommendation: Approve the site plan request, with modifications of use regulations for height, density, and compact parking ratio, subject to the conditions of the staff report.

  2. An Ordinance to Vacate a Portion of North Nelson Street between North Fairfax Drive and 9 th Street North.

  3. Allocation of Fiscal Year (FY) 2000 Affordable Housing Investment Fund (AHIF) Financial Assistance to Silverwood Associates, Inc. or it’s Designated County-Approved Affiliate to Assist with the Purchase and Rehabilitation of the Patrick Henry Apartments.

  4. Allocation of Fiscal Year 2000 Affordable Housing Investment Fund/HOME (AHIF/HOME) Financial Assistance to the Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing (APAH) or its Designated County-Approved Affiliate to Assist with the Purchase and Rehabilitation of the Lorcum Arms Apartments.

  2. Zoning Ordinance Amendments to Section 15. RA6-15, Apartment Dwelling District to allow modification of setback, yard, coverage and parking regulations for multiple-family residential dwellings by site plan approval and to reduce the height of buildings and mechanical penthouses when a property is located within the area designated as "Radnor Heights East Special District" on the General Land Use Plan.

Board meetings are cablecast live on government access Cable-TV Channel 31, with repeats shown the following week at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday and at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday (morning session only) and 7:00 p.m. on Thursday (afternoon session only), and the following Monday at 10:30 a.m. Carryover meetings will be repeated the following Monday at 7:00 p.m. If a live carryover meeting conflicts with any of the scheduled repeats, the tape will air immediately following the live meeting.
