      1. U-2963-99-1 Use Permit: Request for operation of a family day care home; on premises known as 1611 North Quincy Street.

    6. Site Plan Amendments

      1. SP #249 Site Plan Amendment Request to amend the site plan to increase office gross floor and reduce the building setback from the western property line; on premises known as 4301 and 4401 Wilson Boulevard.

        P.C. Recommendation: Defer to the County Board meeting of August 14, 1999.

      2. SP #65 Site Plan Amendment (Carry-Over & Revised): Request for conversion of Buchanan Mall retail space to office space and renovation along the street; on premises known as 2301 South Jefferson Davis Highway.

        C.M. Recommendation: Defer the proposed site plan amendment and comprehensive sign plan request to the August 14, 1999 County Board meeting.

      3. SP #240 Site Plan Amendment: Request to convert second floor health club and restaurant space to office/conference use and upgrade the façade of the retail along the exterior of the building; premises known as 901 North Stuart Street, 900 North Stafford Street, and 950 North Stafford Street.

      2. SP #298 Review of a Site Plan Amendment for continuation of an existing public parking lot; on premises known as 1200, 1202, 1206, 1214, and 1218 North Hartford Street; 1178 through 1180 North Highland Street; 3101 3103, and 3105 through 3109 Wilson Boulevard; and 1203 North Herndon Street.         C.M. Recommendation: Continue, subject to all previous conditions, and with a review in three (3) years (July 2002).

    8. Use Permit Reviews

      1. U-1748-67-2 Review of Use Permit for a childcare program; on premise known as 2700 19th Street South.

      2. U-2875-96-1 Review of Use Permit Amendment for operation of a shuttle service and contract parking and for 550 spaces; on premises known as 2805 South Crystal Drive. (Sunpark, Incorp.)

        C.M. Recommendation: Continue, subject to all previous conditions, new Condition #15 and with a review in one (1) year (July 2000).

      3. U-2941-98-1 Review of a Use Permit for the operation of live entertainment; on premises known as 3211 Washington Boulevard. (A Taste of Casablanca)

        C.M. Recommendation: Continue, subject to the previous condition, and with a review in three (3) years. (July 2003)

    9. Authorize Submission to U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance (USDOJ-BJA), Local Law Enforcement Block Grant Program.

      C.M. Recommendation: Approve as recommended in the staff report.

    10. Approve an Award of a Contract to Construct Street Improvements along North Lynn Street from 19 th Street North to North Fairfax Drive.

      C.M. Recommendation: Approve as recommended in the staff report.

    11. Approve an Award of a Contract for the Cleaning and Lining of Water Mains at Various Locations in the Ashton Heights, Lyon Park and Clarendon and Courthouse Neighborhoods.

      C.M. Recommendation: Approve as recommended in the staff report.

    12. Amendment of Lease Agreement Between the County and the Greater Washington Educational Telecommunications Association, Inc.

      C.M. Recommendation: Approve the Amendment to the Lease Agreement between the Greater Washington Educational Telecommunications Association, Inc., and the County Board, and authorize the Real Estate Coordinator to sign the Amendment on behalf of the County Board.

    13. Approval and Acceptance of a Deed of Easement for the Department of Public Works' Windsor Towers Water Supply Project.

      C.M. Recommendation: Approve the Deed of Easement for a Public Water Main and authorize the Real Estate Coordinator to execute the deed on behalf of the County Board indicating the County's Board's acceptance of the easement, subject to approval as to form by the County Attorney.

    14. Authorize the relocation of the polling place for the Ashton Heights Precinct.

      C.M. Recommendation: Grant the authorization as recommended in the staff report.

    15. Vacation Requests

      1. Vacation of a Water Main Easement on Part of Lot 1 and 2 Subdivision of Lintler Property Delashmutt Bros., Inc. (Glebe Terrace)

        C.M. Recommendation: Approve the requested vacation, and adopt an Ordinance to Vacate a Water Main Easement, with conditions and authorize the Real Estate Coordinator to execute the Deed of Vacation on behalf of the County Board, subject approval as to form by the County Attorney.

      2. Vacation of a Storm Sewer Easement on Parcel C-1A, Pentagon City.

        C.M. Recommendation: Approve the requested vacation, and adopt an Ordinance to Vacate a Storm Sewer Easement, with conditions and Authorize the Real Estate Coordinator to execute the Deed of Vacation on behalf of the County Board, with the Deed of Vacation subject to approval as to form by the County Attorney.

    16. Curb, Gutter and Sidewalk

      1. Resolution Authorizing Preliminary Assessment for Local Improvements for High Density and High pedestrian concrete Repair Program, Concrete Sidewalk, Curb and Gutter Project #487 at various locations along Columbia Pike, south Walter Reed Drive, South Courthouse Road, Wilson Boulevard, North Fillmore Street, North Hudson Street, 13 th Street North, North Glebe Road, North Pershing Drive, and South Glebe Road.

        C.M. Recommendation: Approve as recommended in the staff report.

  14. Adoption of Revised Policies for Naming and Renaming County Facilities and Memorial or Recognition Plaques.

  15. An Ordinance to amend Chapter 14.2 (Motor Vehicles) of the Arlington County Code to amend the effective dates of this section to incorporate the changes made to the Code by the 1999 General Assembly.

    C.M. Recommendation: Approve the proposed amendments to Chapter 14.2 of the Arlington County Code to update references to certain sections of the Code of Virginia pursuant to the 1999 session of the Virginia General Assembly, to be effective July 1, 1999.

  17. An Ordinance to amend Section 10A. "R15-30T" Residential Town House Dwelling Districts of the Arlington County Zoning Ordinance relating to modification of minimum site area and density standards.

  18. SP #334 Site Plan Request for 8 semi-detached units, associated parking & modification of use regulations for density, coverage, setbacks, & yards; on premises known as 1113 and 1117 North Vermont Street.

  19. An Ordinance to amend Section 31. Special Provisions, Subsection B.2.b. of the Arlington County Zoning Ordinance, to amend the maximum permitted height of amateur radio antennas to no more than 75 feet above ground level.

    1. SP #125 Site Plan Amendment: Request to convert 52,000 sq. ft. on the 6 th floor currently approved for various communication production facilities, physical fitness center & office space into total office space; on premises known as 1000 Wilson Boulevard.

    2. SP #276 Site Plan Amendment: Request to amend Condition #47 to extend term of site plan approval for three additional years and to modify Condition #48 regarding acquisition of portions of out parcel and associated right-of-way improvements and to add the standard subdivision conditions to the site plan; on premises known as 3923 Wilson Boulevard.     Board meetings are cablecast live on government access Cable-TV Channel 31, with repeats shown the following week at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday and at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday (morning session only) and 7:00 p.m. on Thursday (afternoon session only), and the following Monday at 10:30 a.m. Carryover meetings will be repeated the following Monday at 7:00 p.m. If a live carryover meeting conflicts with any of the scheduled repeats, the tape will air immediately following the live meeting.
