Recommendation: Appropriate Revenue Funds from the Commonwealth to the Department of Human Services to provide substance abuse and mental health services for clients moving from welfare to work and authorize a 1.0 FTE permanent grant funded position in the Department of Human Services to provide substance abuse and mental health services.

  5. Application for a Grant from Library of Virginia to Purchase Software to provide Magnification or Speech Capability on Full Service Public PC's in Arlington County Libraries.

    C.M. Recommendation: Ratify the County Manager's submission of a grant application for funds from the Library of Virginia in competitive grant funds under the Library Services and Technology Act, and contingent upon grant award, authorize the County Manager to accept the grant, and appropriate funds from state revenue to the Department of Libraries.

  6. Authorization of Additional Relief Staff for the Woodmont Program.

    C.M. Recommendation: Authorize the addition of 0.5 FTE to an existing 1.2 FTE temporary position in the Department of Human Services to increase the relief staff available for the Woodmont Program.

  7. Presentation of Delinquent Tax Accounts.

    C.M. Recommendation: Adopt the resolution concerning the annual presentation of lists of delinquent taxes by the Treasurer.

Recommendation: Authorize the County Manager to execute the Contract with the Commonwealth Transportation Board, for the Purpose of Obligating County Transportation Allocations to Support State Bonds for Transportation Improvements in Arlington, with any changes that do not negatively impact the County financial position, with the approval of the County Attorney.

Request to Advertise an Amendment to the Arlington County code to amend, reenact and recodify Chapter 14.2, Section 14.2-20.1 of the Code of Arlington County, Virginia prohibiting trucks from using certain streets, except for the purpose of receiving loads or making deliveries, and providing a penalty for violations of the new Code section.

    Agendas are usually available on the county's website one week before the meeting, and are published in the Arlington Journal the Monday before a Saturday meeting. Agendas also are provided three days before the meeting on Arlington Information Channel 31.

    Channel 31 schedules are available on the internet at http://arlingtonva.tv/county-board-schedule/ . The schedules are available at Arlington public libraries, or by calling 228-3270 (TTY 703-228-4611).

    Board meetings are cablecast live on government access Cable-TV Channel 31, with repeats shown the following week at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday and at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday (morning session only) and 7:00 p.m. on Thursday (afternoon session only), and the following Monday at 10:30 a.m. Carryover meetings will be repeated the following Monday at 7:00 p.m. If a live carryover meeting conflicts with any of the scheduled repeats, the tape will air immediately following the live meeting.
