North Tract – area north of 6th St. S.: From "Service Industry" (Wholesale, storage, & light manufacturing uses, including those related to building construction activity) to "Public" (Local, regional, & federal parks; public schools; parkways, major unpaved rights-of-ways; libraries & cultural facilities) for area generally bounded by 6th St. S., Old Jefferson Davis Hwy., former "Twin Bridges" site & Waterfowl Sanctuary.

2). North Tract - area south of 6th St. S.: From "Service Industry" to "Low" Office-Apartment-Hotel (Office density up to 1.5 FAR; Apartment density of up to 72 units/acre; Hotel density of up to 110 units/acre) for area generally bounded by 6th St. S., Waterfowl Sanctuary, 10th St. S. & Old Jefferson Davis Hwy.

3). South Tract: From "Service Industry" to striped pattern of 1/3 "Medium" Residential (37-72 units per acre) and 2/3 "Low" Office-Apartment-Hotel for area generally bounded by Airport Viaduct, George Wash Parkway ( eastern edge of railway corridor), Four Mile Run, Jefferson Davis Hwy. & Crystal Dr.: with addition of related note regarding eligibility for additional gross floor area.

B. Amendments to Comprehensive Plan: a) to Master Transportation Plan—Part 1,-to add following 8 additional streets: Potomac Ave. as 4-lane minor-arterial from Alexandria City Line to Crystal Dr.; S. Glebe Rd. as 4-lane minor-arterial from Jefferson Davis Hwy. (U.S.1) to Potomac Ave.; 33rd St. S. as 4-lane minor-arterial, between U.S. 1 & Potomac Ave.; 29th St. S. as 2-lane neighborhood-minor street between Crystal Dr. & Potomac Ave.; 35th St. S. as 2-lane neighborhood-minor street between U.S. 1 & Potomac Ave.; 39th St. S. as 2-lane neighborhood-minor street between S. Clark St. & Potomac Ave.; S. Ball St. as 2-lane neighborhood-minor street between S. Glebe Rd. & 33rd St. S.; & S.   1. Adopt Ordinance to Amend, Reenact, Recodify Chapter 33 (Security Alarms) (Carry-Over) re: license, registration, equipment standards, inspections, fees for police response to false alarm calls, establishment of Commission to govern ordinance effectiveness .

    C.M. Recommendation:

  2. SP #125 Site Plan Amendment (Carry-Over): William H. Brakefield, Owner; 2nd rooftop sign; on premises known as 1100 Wilson Blvd. (Twin Towers II)

    C.M. Recommendation: Approve request for site plan amendment to permit a second rooftop sign for a second tenant, subject to conditions.

  3. Approve amendments to Chapters 21, 35 and 46 of the Arlington County Retirement Ordinance.

    C.M. Recommendation: Approve as recommended in the staff report.

  4. Approve Housing Relocation Assistance Guidelines .

    C.M. Recommendation: Adopt the proposed revised relocation guidelines as policy guidelines for relocation assistance in Arlington, Attachment A.

  5. Approve amendment to Chapter 43 of the Arlington County Code, Real Estate Tax Relief for the Elderly .

    C.M. Recommendation: Approved as recommended in the staff report.

Board meetings are cablecast live on government access Cable-TV Channel 31, with repeats shown the following week at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday and at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday (morning session only) and 7:00 p.m. on Thursday (afternoon session only), and the following Monday at 10:30 a.m. Carryover meetings will be repeated the following Monday at 7:00 p.m. If a live carryover meeting conflicts with any of the scheduled repeats, the tape will air immediately following the live meeting.
