D. GP-278-01-1 General Land Use Plan Amendment: from "Public" (Parks: local, regional and federal. Public Schools. Parkways, major unpaved rights-of-way. Libraries and cultural facilities.) to "Medium" Office-Apartment -Hotel (2.5 F.A.R. Office Density, up to 115 units/acre Apartment Density, up to 180 units/acre Hotel Density) for a property located at 1101 Lee Highway between Interstate 66 and the George Washington Memorial Parkway (GWMP), just southeast of the exit ramp from southbound GWMP to North Lynn Street .

P.C. Recommendation: Defer consideration of the General Land Use Plan amendment for the subject site to the February 25, 2002 Planning Commission meeting and the March 9, 2002 County Board meeting.

C.M. Recommendation: Approve advertising the adoption of the Columbia Pike Initiative - A Revitalization Plan, for public hearings at the March 9, 2002 County Board meeting and its associated Planning Commission meeting.

2. Request to Advertise "On the County Board's Own Motion" General Land Use Plan amendments for Rosslyn: Option 1 Change the boundaries of the Rosslyn Coordinated Redevelopment District. Option 2 Amend Note 15.

C.M. Recommendation: Approve advertising of public hearing on the subject General Land Use Plan amendments at the Planning Commission meeting on February 25, 2002 and the County Board meeting on March 9, 2002.

C.M. Recommendation: Approve the attached amendment to Chapter 14.2 of the Arlington County Code relating to fines for nonmoving violations, to be effective March 1, 2002.

12. General Land Use Plan and Site Plan Amendment on premises known as North Quincy Street, North Randolph Street and 9th Street North. (Ballston Center)

A. General Land Use Plan Amendment to designate the block bounded by Wilson Boulevard, North Quincy Street, North Randolph Street and 9th Street North as a “Special Affordable Housing Protection District”.

Board meetings are cablecast live on government access Cable-TV Channel 31, with repeats shown the following week at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday and at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday (morning session only) and 7:00 p.m. on Thursday (afternoon session only), and the following Monday at 10:30 a.m. Carryover meetings will be repeated the following Monday at 7:00 p.m. If a live carryover meeting conflicts with any of the scheduled repeats, the tape will air immediately following the live meeting.
