16. Cooperative agreements with federal, state and local jurisdictions to participate in regional law enforcement task forces associated with criminal offenses, the service of outstanding warrants and for the enhancing of local and regional community policing service strategies.

17. Changes to the eligibility criteria for housing services funded through the Affordable Housing Investment Fund (AHIF).

C.M. Recommendation: Approve changes to the eligibility criteria for housing services funded through the Affordable Housing Investment Fund (AHIF), eliminating the requirement that a new program be innovative and allowing two years of funding (subject to annual appropriation).

18. Authorization for the County Manager to Execute an Agreement (the “Agreement”) with Virginia Department of Transportation (“VDOT”) to Secure Funding for the installation of 25 traffic incident management cameras.

23. Proposed amendments to Chapter 6 (Civil Service),of the Arlington Code regarding criminal record checks and fingerprinting of applicants for County employment.

C.M. Recommendation: Approve the amendments to Section 6-12 of the Arlington County Code relating to fingerprint-based criminal history record checks for applicants for employment with the County.

24. Adoption of an Amendment to Chapter 6 of the Arlington County Code to Establish the Live Where You Work Program.

C.M. Recommendation: Amend, reenact and recodify Chapter 6 to authorize the County Manager to establish a program to provide grants for county and school board employees to purchase or rent residences, which will be used as primary residences, within the County.

25. Ordinance to amend, reenact, recodify Chapters 21 (Retirement Systems) and Chapter 46 (Arlington County Employees' Supplemental Retirement System--II) of Arlington County Code.

31. Request to Advertise the following General Land Use Plan amendment and rezoning request for a property located at 1600 and 1618 Wilson Boulevard, and 1611 and 1701 Clarendon Boulevard, just west of North Pierce Street.

Consideration of a Credit facility of $17 million for a period of up 3 years from Fannie Mae to Arlington County to be utilized as a bridge loan to AHC Inc., for the acquisition of the Gates of Arlington Apartments and consideration of an agreement by the County to make certain payments (subject to appropriation) to Fannie Mae for the Credit Facility.

38. Request to Advertise a Public Hearing for an Ordinance establishing the “2nd Road North Service District”

C.M. Recommendation: Authorize advertisement of a Public Hearing for the Board Meeting of July 20, 2002 to adopt the attached ordinance (Exhibit A) creating the “2nd Road North Service District”.
