Request to advertise for a public hearing to be held at the November 16, 2002 meeting of the Arlington County Board to consider adoption of an ordinance to enact and codify Chapter 67 (Trees and Shrubs) of Arlington County Code, to establish a Tree Ordinance that protects trees on County property and establishes a mechanism for designating Heritage, Memorial, Specimen, and Street Trees on both public and private property, which may result in special protection from removal or damage.

P.C. Recommendation: Proposed vacation is not in accord with the adopted Comprehensive Plan. The Commission further recommends that the County Board deny the proposed vacation request.

Board meetings are cablecast live on government access Cable-TV Channel 31, with repeats shown the following week at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday and at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday (morning session only) and 7:00 p.m. on Thursday (afternoon session only), and the following Monday at 10:30 a.m. Carryover meetings will be repeated the following Monday at 7:00 p.m. If a live carryover meeting conflicts with any of the scheduled repeats, the tape will air immediately following the live meeting.
